We were sitting in the living room watching TV.
I put up my fist and Booga put up his and we fist bumped as he walked away down the hall.
I said, "I love you."
"I love you too." He said, the way some people say, "Pass the salt."
"Is it because I fist bumped you?" I asked.
"Yes." He said flatly.
"You're awesome Booga."
"Yes," he said again in a very non-committal way. As if this was a fact and why was I bothering to bring it up again- Captain Obvious, protector and defender of all that is obvious. "Thank you." He added.
I love this man/boy, for this and for more than this….
