Autism vs. Star Wars

Booga was putting pizza rolls in a plastic container and told me, "Nati hates Star Wars because she was abducted by aliens."

Now, there are times when I have wondered if Booga and his friends are actually from another planet. However, I've not thought about children with disabilities being fodder for alien experimentation? I mean, if they are abducting them, they must have an interesting view of we Earthlings.

"She was abducted by aliens' hua?"

"Uh hua."

"Hmm, wow!"

"She was abducted by aliens….So she hates Star Wars."

Well, to be honest, if there's a reason to hate Star Wars….That's a good a reason as any I guess….Personally I am a Star Wars aficionado. My oldest son at age eleven believed that, because his mother knew so much about Star Wars, that she must indeed be a Jedi knight….

That's okay, if my eleven year old wanted to believe I was a Jedi knight I would let him…I mean, seriously, this would reinforce the whole mystical part about mom knowing things that she really shouldn't know, and that whole thing about "eyes in the back of her head".

I'd no idea that Nati was abducted by aliens…Hua.

I need to get to know some of these parents better.
